About

Oscar Palacio is a Colombian-born, Boston-based photographer. He received his MFA in photography from the Massachusetts College of Art + Design in 1998 and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Miami in 1992. His work is included in the permanent collections of the Harvard Art Museums, the Center for Creative Photography at the University of Arizona, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Yale University Art Gallery, and the Addison Gallery of American Art. He was artist–in–residence at the Addison Gallery of American Art in 2004 and 2005, and at Light Work in 2008. Recent exhibitions include American History Revisited at Harvard University Center for American Political Studies in Cambridge, MA, Walden, revisited at deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln, MA, and Contemplating the View: American Landscape Photographs at the Addison Gallery of American Art, Andover, MA.
